The Project

Scotty's House, the Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center, initiated a call for proposals to evaluate their existing facilities and address current and future needs. Scotty's House is a non-profit organization that provides a child-friendly environment for victims of child abuse. The organization provides a supportive and nurturing environment in which a victim can interact with the necessary agencies. The site evaluation performed by WestEast assessed the functionality of Scotty's House and provides recommendations for meeting growing demands of the site.

The evaluation project provides a holistic understanding of Scotty's House, its operations, and the current state of its facilities. The report presents a clear roadmap for addressing the organization's needs. Key recommendations include reconfiguring existing space, constructing additional facilities, or utilizing a combination of these approaches. The proposed strategies emphasized integrating the new campus within the site and neighboring environment, ensuring optimal functionality and harmonious coexistence. By following the report's recommendations, Scotty's House will enhance its capacity to deliver services effectively, accommodate future growth, and better serve the community's needs.
