The Project

The Alamo Colleges District Support Operations Complex was envisioned as a unifying space, combining operations previously scattered across the city. Designed as a mid-rise building, the complex fosters a park-like atmosphere and pays homage to local features, such as the acequia waterway and the downtown San Antonio skyline. This thoughtful design not only encourages collaboration among Alamo Colleges employees but also serves as a functional hub for a variety of district assistance functions.

The Methodology

Low and mid rise buildings were used to create an organic park-like setting. The final design was intended to preserve and enhance the acequia running through the site while capturing the downtown San Antonio skyline. This site was transformed into a welcoming area for leisure activities and ensuring harmonious integration with the neighborhood.

The Result

The successful completion of this project provides the Alamo Colleges with an attractive, light-filled, noise-reducing, operationally efficient building that promotes employee gathering and collaboration.
