Estrella Halls Transforms On Campus Housing

December 4, 2024

In response to the growing student population at Texas A&M-San Antonio, WestEast has delivered Estrella Hall, a 96,085-square-foot residence hall designed to double on-campus housing capacity. Completed on time and within budget for Fall 2024, the project adds 322 beds across suite-style accommodations, featuring shared common areas, study spaces, and a 4,000-square-foot lobby equipped with lounges, offices, and a conference area.

Estrella Hall reflects a balance of functionality and aesthetics, aligning with the campus's architectural identity while prioritizing cost efficiency and sustainability. Designed with durability and comfort in mind, the suites incorporate natural light, robust materials, and noise-reducing construction. Collaborative efforts with Bartlett Cocke General Contractors ensured efficient delivery despite supply chain challenges, setting the stage for future expansion.

The new facility not only enhances campus life but also strengthens connectivity through added parking and a pedestrian bridge, establishing a foundation for TAMUSA growing residential district.
